To look into this gaze is to stand before a beauty that refuses to vanish. The Amur leopard walks the thinnest line of extinction, and through the Wildfade concept, I seek to capture this extreme vulnerability—where the body breaks apart, yet the spirit keeps its light:

• The fracture of reality: At the base of the feline, the realistic paint begins to crack and break away like pieces of parched earth. This visual rupture is intentional; it mirrors one of nature’s most critical crises: with barely over 100 individuals remaining in the wild worldwide, the species is literally fragmented, isolated by human encroachment and pushed to the brink of drifting away forever.
• Fading into splatters: The animal’s body doesn’t just shatter; it dissolves into a scattering of wild splatters that release into the background. This serves as a visual metaphor for how drastically their habitat has shrunk due to deforestation and human pressure, causing this feline’s presence in the frozen forests to blur away just like the paint itself.
• The light within: From the very core where the animal disintegrates, a warm, radiant golden light emerges from the depths of the canvas. Despite the pressure of the sweeping chromatic waves that surround and force it to fade, this inner light symbolizes hope, resilience, and the life force of a survivor that refuses to go dark.
